Thanaphon in Heidelberg

It's been a year since we were here .. I still want to write a review. The food was actually very tasty. The staff, except for one woman who was quite pushy, also very friendly. However, we both had the diarrhea of ​​our lives after eating .. I won't come back because of it ? 3 stars, because it could have been something else (albeit very unlikely).

Food is always delicious. I've never ordered something I didn't like. Prices are good. Cocktails are great (I highly recommend Apricot Lady, Zombie cocktails). Ambience is great too. Staff is attentive and friendly. English is good. Go eat there!

Foods are tasty and original taste , and please make sure you reserve the table :) i went there 5 time (walk in ) but had 2 chances to get table .

Food is ok, but the quantity is too less for the price. Service is very bad, one has to chase the waiter, and they won't listen.

I would definitely give this place a no star if i could. This has been my worst restaurant experience in Heidelberg. I found a strand of hair in my food in the course of eating and i pointed this out to the owner who did the right thing by giving me another plate of food. However, before i could start eating, the waitress walked up to me and asked me if i wanted something to drink and i said no. She got angry, sighed and walked out on me and even accused me of putting hair in my own food. She got so rude and started accusing me and my friend of being liars, pushed me and threatened to call the police. Apparently, she thought i was a tourist and kept on insisting that i was there only once. I've been to this place at least 4 times and sometimes with my colleagues who really appreciated the food but after today, i wouldn't this place to anyone, especially after the rude service and embarrassment i received with my friend.

The amount of food might be enough (the rice isn't), the food is good but the waitress was really rude the whole time. In the end she even complains for not receiving a tip! Basically this waitress can ruin your meal and a full business.

Excellent food and excellent staff. Everyone was really happy to serve us. The atmosphere looks authentic and the prices are good.

I really enjoyed lunch here. Restaurant was so comfortable, food was so delicious, restaurant owner was so friendly. I will not hesitate to go there again and post this restaurant on my blog as my favorite in Heidelberg.

Amazing Service and delicious food, probably the best thai food I have ever eaten and one of the best meals in general. Pricing might seem expensive but is 200% worth it. Also if you think the Restaurant is to expensive they a have Bistro next door called Tuk-Tuk. I can only suggest this restaurant to everyone who wants a nice meal with high quality.

UPDATE 15.11.18 We were back for dinner and are just as excited as the last few times. The restaurant has its own flair, you just feel like you are in a restaurant somewhere in Thailand. The food tastes really great and the service is super nice. Come back very happy! -------- Probably the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Atmosphere is cozy rustic, service very nice, prices fair. The food was perfect. Seasoning, ingredients and compilation were gracefully coordinated. The duck was suitable for the dish and great with the home-made sauce. We are happy to come back and are happy to be regulars in this good restaurant! Everything was really right here!

Super delicious, very cozy from the location and attentive staff. If we are close again, the Thanaphon is definitely a place we will visit again. We ordered different dishes and one was tastier than the other!

Super delicious food, quick service and really helpful staff. We were lucky to get in without a reservation on a Saturday evening around 18:30. Would recommend it to everyone :D

I was wrong to complain about the price of the water, but this does not justify the rudeness of your waitress. Leaving aside that you are just lying in your reply, customers are totally free to order the quantity that they want. You have no right to judge them, as they may have eating disorders. Just a polite advice.

Excellent Thai restaurant

Went to Thanaphon for lunch. Lunch menu was quite limited. Though the food was not bad, not my best Thai food experience. Decent for a quick lunch meal, but not much more.

Incredible food. Lovely owners. Neighborhood atmosphere. Great for families. Dishes are made with love. Seemed like the food was very healthy with minimal additives, sugar or salt - yet still very tasty. Make a reservation and have a great evening.
